Peter is a well-known artist in Southland. He lives in Invercargill and has an historic holiday cottage in Clyde which he shares with his partner.

He takes all his inspirations from years of tramping and mountain biking in Fiordland and Central Otago. As a full-time builder and part time artist he enjoys the freedom and spontaneity of painting in his unique style. He uses an expressionist style utilising strong texture and colours.

He has won various awards including the MacAlister Award for best overall exhibit in the Anderson Park Spring Exhibition.
