Mary Horn

Mary Horn is a Dominican Sister, one time teacher, now painter and organic gardener.

Born in Waimate in 1937, Mary has lived in a number of places in New Zealand. She began painting in 1992 and has worked and lived at Teschemakers, North Otago, since then.

Her painting explores the spiritual landscape that is the journey we essentially make alone and with others in a paradox of certainty and uncertainty, order and chaos, with continual beginnings and endings.

We are delighted to have Mary Horn's evocative landscape work hanging in our gallery.
