Libby McColl

IMG_3364.jpg

Libby McColl finds inspiration in the textures and colours of the understated and the overlooked. Rust, lichen, paint and rope on neglected and disused buildings and fence posts, stormy skies and crashing seas etc in the countryside are all inspiration for her paintings. She is fascinated by the transforming into art as nature takes over and repossesses man made objects.

Libby describes her technique as spontaneous and versatile, her aim being to make the artwork feel alive and breathing!
